The biblical lie that shapes American foreign policy: debunking the 'Bless Israel' myth
Ted Cruz yesterday told Tucker Carlson that the Bible says: “Those who bless Israel will be blessed, and those who curse Israel will be cursed.”
It’s actually a complete lie, the Bible doesn’t even remotely say that, which is pretty insane given that Ted Cruz tells Carlson this specific bible passage is the primary reason why he (and many other Republican politicians) supports Israel.
I’ve decided to dig deep into the bible, including in the original Hebrew, to understand exactly what it says.
